Our data handling policy

  • BestPlace does not score, rate, or evaluate areas. We are committed to objectively organizing and displaying public data only.
  • Every data point is accompanied by the name of its source institution and an official URL, so that users can judge the reliability of the data themselves.
  • For data from the MLIT Real Estate Information Library (reinfolib), BestPlace performs some processing for display purposes, such as converting to per-tsubo prices, calculating change rates, and aggregating nearby transactions. Original data is directly accessible from each source URL.
  • The accuracy and recency of the data depend on the publications of each source institution. Please always verify primary sources before making important decisions.
